Last month on windows

As at this point I’m still on windows 8, ready for the free update to 8.1. which is 2.1 GB is now available. A hard-drive is ready for my most permanent Linux distro yet. I’m planning to use this distro for a year a full 12 months. Though I may want to try other Linux distro’s I’ll still be using my Voyager Linux.

Windows is fine, but I want a rich experience I want the freedom to think different, the freedom to work in an environment that allows me to own it. I can’t own windows, I cannot customise windows the way I can Linux.

I want to experience windows 8.1 to the full experience before I’m full time on Linux, yet still I have to find a way of carrying on to use my windows phone on Microsoft Zune. I’ll do this with wine or virtual box. Will see how I can do that. I’m going in to Linux for the Long run.

Oh I can’t wait to use the file manager on Voyager Linux, to watch movies, enjoy writing/ typing and develop my own apps on Linux.

Manjaro Linux on VMfinally

Finally I think I'll be able to install Manjaro Linux on my other hard drive, after months trying to come in to the Linux World I've successful switched to Linux the Last thing that ties me to Linux is the Windows phone that needs syncing and updating with my Zune other wise I'm good to go with Linux.

I've install successfully on the Oracle VM VirtualBox and looks good with all the basic things I apps I need, Qt for programming, Gimp for image editing and cartoon creating I've been working on and gimp is fast Linux nice, LibreOfice is as good as windows office and no cost if you know how to use it that is, Vlc and FireFox the best browser ever (but I've head it not so good on the power management side of things)

The other software with the package like Xfburn and other music apps that make easier to manipulate sounds. So I'll be playing with that.

A couple of apps I'll need to install are Blender, i need google chrome with all my apps from the chromeOS environment, I'll look for games to play and some customisation features to personalise the OS. Update the apps I already am using like vlc, file manager, try and get all of Qt, update LibreOffice

I've just open the web Browser it connected instantaneously to the Internet amazing, really Linux has come a long long way

ThunderBird is fine its working fine it seems from the virtual box I first sync
